UFC Vegas 94 bonuses: Steve Garcia, Hyder Amil cash in with thrilling knockouts

UFC Vegas 94 had no shortage of bonus-worthy performances.

Four fighters were rewarded an extra $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus on Saturday, with Virna Jandiroba scoring a slick submission over Amanda Lemos in the main event, and undercard fighters Steve Garcia, Bruno Silva, and Hyder Amil all winning by knockout.

Jandiroba closed the show in style, sealing a win by forcing Lemos to tap out to an armbar late in the second round. Not only did Jandiroba earn the second Performance of the Night bonus of her UFC career, she also won her fourth straight fight to possibly set up a title shot against strawweight champion Zhang Weili.

Garcia also earned his second bonus check after needing a little more than 90 seconds to swarm Seung Woo Choi and force a stoppage via strikes in Saturday’s co-main event. That’s four straight wins now for Garcia, all by KO/TKO.

Speaking of streaks, “Bulldog” Silva’s second-round TKO of Cody Durden was his fourth win in a row as well as his fourth consecutive $50,000 bonus.

The undefeated Amil overwhelmed Jeong Yeong Lee in a 65-second slugfest to capture a UFC bonus for the first time in his career.
